This morning Adam and I picked up some goodies for breakfast (pastries for Adam, half a deli sandwich for me – yes, an odd breakfast but I didn’t want sugar) and drove up the west side of Lake Tahoe. We stopped at a trailhead and sat down infront of a stream and ate our breakfast. Two stellar jays stopped by to see if we’d leave any crumbs.. so I took this opportunity to snag a few pictures.

I’m on a mini vacation this weekend with Adam and his parents in South Lake Tahoe. We spent the majority of today traveling. I’d only been to Tahoe once, but I remembered the super steep part of the trip when you’re just about to the lake. I would have loved to stop along the highway but all the turnouts had lousy views (go figure!) We got into town and Adam checked out Millers Outpost. Every year he goes on this trip, he and his family shop at MO because they usually have awesome deals.. and damn did they ever. I got a tshirt to lounge in. The tag was marked at $1.65 and there was still a 25% discount a-happenin’ at the register. Jeans (which is what Adam and his brother usually stock up on) were marked down to less than $10 each. Unfortunately this year they had only two displays with jeans as opposed to the “tons” I’m told they usually have. Too bad for the boys!
