Raspberry-Topped Lemon Cupcakes with Limoncello Glaze

Raspberry-Topped Lemon Cupcakes with Limoncello Glaze

Made these for Matt’s summer bbq yesterday – and while they tasted pretty good, they were damned sticky which made everyone work for their treat. As Carrie put it, she was burning the calories before even eating it. ;) I think I figured it out – I left them in the fridgy too long. Room temp they’re easier to peel. Ah well! If you want to make them, hop over to 52 Cupcakes and grab the recipe.

The chocolate ones went off much smoother (and faster.)

Done! Hardened chocolate top

The pastel cups you see there are those silicone baking cups – LOVE THEM. I was able to bake all 24 at once on a giant baking sheet. The topping is merely melted chocolate chips, hardened in the fridge. I have a few more ideas for this method for the next shindig.

Don’t Blink

Published by Jennifer under nifty, video

Check out this clip from America’s Got Talent… and don’t you dare blink.

I kept replaying the green-to-purple dress part to see if I could figure it out and all I notice is the guy touches her back and you can see some purple go up over her shoulders, she looks down for a quick check and then BAM! reveals the new dress.

I normally hate magic and all that hoo-ha, but damn… this is some crazy stuff. Augh, am I going to have to start watching this show now too?

Ok.. they’re David and Diana and have a show called “A Magical Transformation” and they perform as half-time entertainment for the NBA.

Aw hell, just read this article over at The Slate!

Goal Goal Goaaaaaal!

Published by Jennifer under Uncategorized

I just spent most of my day taking photos for a company sponsoring a World Cup event. During game, there wasn’t much to take photos of so I with the attendees in a theatre and watched the game. I don’t think I’ve watched that much soccer in a handful of years. It was pretty interesting even though I couldn’t tell what they were saying most of the time (as it was a spanish broadcast. Though I did recognize “cabasa!” everytime someone did a head-butt.) Which, omg, the headbutt! For those that haven’t seen it yet – a guy on the French team got in a little tiff with a guy on the Italian team and decided to head-butt him and knock him to his feet. A few mins later.. RED CARD! Oooooh the excitement! Oh wait, ever faithful, YouTube is here!
