NaBloPoMo 07, DONE

Published by Jennifer under nablopomo07

Thank goodness that NaBloPoMo was this month. November has been supah-packed with the recommended daily allowance of vitamins and all sorts of other good shit.

Nothing is better than starting off the month with a Matt Nathanson concert. If I could, I’d go to one every day. Hearing Ingrid Michaelson live was pretty damn awesome too. (And of course, a few days after the concert I find out my obsessions had meshed – Matt Nathanson’s song was featured in a General Hospital: Night Shift episode!)

Vegas, So You Think You Can Dance crazies, photos, late night parking garage antics (I didn’t really post about that, maybe another day though), and of course MORE Matt Nathanson!

Oh and what a weird month – Jimmy Kimmel and Dog the Bounty Hunter graced my posts not once, but twice.

NaBloPoMo was fun!

"Me, I want a huuula hoooop"

Published by Jennifer under memories, nablopomo07, shopping

So this Christmas shopping thing is going along ok.. a little slow. I start looking, with a certain person in mind, then WOOSH I’m sucked into the world of ME. Ooh that necklace looks pretty.. oo that ring.. oh that watch.. blah blah me me me me me.

But I still like to buy stuff for others.

And, I think I’m getting an idea or two for some yummies I want to make.

I’m normally bah-humbug about the holidays, and actually when it comes to Christmas music and CHRISTMAS 24/7 shoved down my throat – yes I’m still very bah-humbug… but I like finding gifts and wrapping them or putting them in boxes….

Online shopping is horribly addictive. The other day I almost bought WRAPPING PAPER online. There is this one site that has hot designs (don’t get me started on the Container Store, my #1 place for the ultimate wrapping paper) – but.. I just can’t buy it. I try to keep it in my mind that people just rip through the stuff. You don’t want to hear “DON’T RIP THE PAPER! Save it for another gift!” I won’t be that person….

ok well save full ribbons if you can, cause sometimes they’re just super pretty…

Random Christmas memory! I remember one Christmas, this must have been oh, 1989 or 90, I got two cassette tapes for Christmas from my grandparents. My grandma was doting yet frugal sometimes when it came to gifts for my cousin and I. That year, the two tapes I got were the New Kids on the Block Christmas songs album and a copied version of their Hanging Tough (or was it The Right Stuff) album. The tape wasn’t marked but was in a clear case with a black and white photocopy of the tape cover. Meanwhile, Kim, my cousin, got the Hanging Tough/Right Stuff album and a copy of the Christmas album. Sigh. Silly but a nice memory.

OK I can’t blog anymore because I am watching today’s General Hospital and it is demanding more of my attention than I thought I could give it. So… away I go! Yay Friday is tomorrow and it’s “SCRAPBOOK FRIDAY!!!1″

Jimmy Kimmel?!

Published by Jennifer under dreams, nablopomo07

I had an odd dream last night.

Apparently in this dream, I was dating Jimmy Kimmel.

Gawd, typing that is just weird. Anyway, the dream itself was nice – he was very sweet and I woke up all warm and fuzzy. Basically he said things to me that all girls want to hear. He seemed energized, like he’d just gotten over some bad days at work or something, then he told me how happy he was with me and all that other mushy stuff.

After my dream and I was at work, I told my coworker.

Me: “Apparently I have some deep, hidden crush on Jimmy Kimmel.”
Co-Worker: “Oooh did you have a dream about him?”

I told her a bit about the dream and then she startled me:

CW: “OH! That reminds me! I had a dream too!”

She noted that at least with Jimmy, he was somewhat cute – but her dream involved someone “nasty”.

Because of her recent television habits (influenced by a friend of hers), she dreamt she was dating(or in love, she’ll correct me when she reads this and flips out) with Dog the Bounty Hunter!

And immediately after that, I didn’t mind the fact I had a dream about Jimmy Kimmel.

One response so far

Making you suffer only once more…

Published by Jennifer under nablopomo07, television

This video (of Sara and Neil) is from the So You Think You Can Dance tour that I went to the other day. I have no idea who shot this, but they were damned lucky to have such close seats. Our seats were much, much farther away… but still pretty decent!

Obsessions are fun.
