I wonder how many of these “Oops I haven’t posted in forever!”-type blog posts I’ve done over the years. I’m too lazy to go look, but it’s safe to assume there are a lot.

So yeah.. mostly we’ve been doing non-stop wedding planning.

Bridal Party: CHECK! Our awesome friends and family have graciously accepted and will be standing by us on our big day! (We love you guys!)

Officiant: CHECK! More awesomeness – our friend Al has agreed to be the big cheese and marry us. It’s gonna be great – assuming he doesn’t pass out from stage-fright.

Venue: Has been booked for quite some time – The Mountain Winery! Can’t wait! It’s going to look so pretty.

DJ: Booked.
They include some awesome lighting and have oodles of songs and of course will download anything we want. Be prepared for a huge mix of music people – we’re literally going all over the place. It’s part of who we are. Lots of music from all sorts of genres. It’ll be good, I promise.

Photographer: Interviewing!
So a few months ago we met with a rep from a photographer “group”. I am not going to name them because they don’t need the SEO help. Not that my measly little site does anything – but whatever. The rep showed us a book of multiple photographer’s photos; selected ones from a misc set of weddings. :eyebrow raise: Oh really? I EASILY could tell which of the photographers had a) good lens and b) knew what they were doing. The rest.. ::nose crinkle::. I said from the get-go I was going to be picky and dammit I am. So anyway, we met with another photographer who is quite good, but as rule indicates, it’s good to meet with several (3-4) before making a choice. So technically we’re meeting with 5 total. But I’m not counting that first company. So far I’m happy with who we’re meeting with and I know it’s going to be a hard choice!

Photobooth: In progress!
Some of the photographers we’re looking into actually include a variation of a photobooth, but we’re also looking into individual vendors. It’s one of the items I’ve had on my list for YEARS. I don’t care if it’s trendy and everyone and their momma has used ‘em.

Hair & Makeup: Email stages!
Just gotta make some meetings.. our wonderful wedding coordinator has listed a bunch for me to check out.

There’s a bunch of other stuff either done or in progress.. or simply still stuck in my brain! I’ll share more later…
