Happy Halloween!

Not much to say about Halloween yet. No plans on dressing up, I don’t have anything and for someone who likes to think she’s pretty creative – I haven’t come up with a darned idea yet.

No big. I really don’t have anywhere to go. No parties and such. The whole Castro-idea, while I would love to go and take photos of the outrageous costumes and possibly attempt to take higher quality photos… eh. I don’t think I want to go. It’s not appealing enough.

A few weeks ago I had considered putting together a Halloween shindig, but when it comes to Halloween people usually have plans or choose at last minute to go to the Castro. So why bother? Plus, it’s not like I have a lot of money to throw around for decorations (and you need mass quantities of decorations for a Halloween party.)

So moving on..

From a thread on the msg board at dpchallenge:

What Famous Person Do You Share Your Birthday With?

Well, my bday is March 24th, here’s my list (ones I am familiar with at least):

Lara Flynn Boyle (1970)

Robert Carradine (1954)

Norman Fell (1924)

Alyson Hannigan (1974) (mini-Woo! for that one, tee hee)

Harry Houdini (1874)

Star Jones (1962)

Steve McQueen (1930)

Donna Pescow (1954)

So what about you?

"and I could see the squirrels, and they were merry…"

I think I’m becoming Milton.

(For those unaware, Milton is a character in the 1999 movie Office Space. It’s a hilarious movie that pokes fun at the idiosyncrasies of working in an office. You know you’ve always wanted to take the printer, fax machine, photocopier.. any major office equipment, really.. out into a field and bash it with a bat, right? Rent.. no, just go and buy this movie right now if you haven’t seen it.)

Anyway…

We have stapler issues at my work. It’s all silly really. I think I’ve filled about 4 staplers, and they all seem to disappear from my desk. All I’m asking for is a stapler to at least stay in the office I work in.

Yes. I’m aware that it is just a stapler, but you just don’t understand. It’s annoying to have to go searching for one. I think my co-workers would agree because at one point every day they are looking for one along with me.

So yeah, I’ve noticed I’m becoming more protective of my stapler, which isn’t a red Swingline if you’re curious. It’s actually a Boston plain stapler.

End of the World

Funny animation bit about countries blowing each other up. I think it’s made by the same guy/s that made the Mario Twins animation.

"Are you out there? Can you hear this?"

Adam, Iris, Maya, and I got stuck in our apartment elevator tonight. (Along with a couple, who thankfully had a cell phone that worked.)

Maya, Adam, and Iris were terrified.

So after phoning friends, and having them call for help… the San Jose Fire Department showed up! (With a couple of hot firemen wooo!! And to be fair, a hot firefighter chick for Adam.)

So that was our adventure. Not much to say about it really.

We zoomed over to the Cheesecake Factory and celebrated Shanta’s birthday!

Happy Birthday Shanta!!

"but fighting all the demons will take time"

Published by Jennifer under dreams

I had a dream last night.

It was the same one I had a few months ago.

There was one change, it was a different person.

I was sitting in the ultra-comfy couch that sits in the living room of my house in Modesto.

My father walked through the door of the house, all smiles.

He had that “i’ve got a surprise for you” smile. Then he said “Look what I found.”

He followed my father in. The way he entered the room, one lanky step, turned to see me on the couch.

He smiled, had a small chuckle.

Where had he been? Where did my father find him?

I ran to him, hugged him, my face pressed against his stomach… he was so tall.

I cried. I was angry. I was happy.

I hate dreams. They seem so real, yet they’re so far off.

"And I saw, pictures in my head . . . "

Adam and I had “planned” to go to Great America today. Instead, we decided to stay in.

Little did I know, Shannon was planning something different. She skipped out on a conference she was supposed to go to and called me up with the new plan of going to scrapbook stores.

Woo!

So after yet another unexpected detour (lunch at Chef Mings with Adam and Marc – yay dim sum), we were on our way.

$67.68 and 3 stores (Scrapbook Dreams, Scrapbook Island, and Michaels) later, I have a handful of new scrapbooking goodies to play with.

Now if I only had gobs and heaps of time to play with them all…. I’d actually get a scrapbook done.

angel you sing about beautiful things…

Published by Jennifer under Uncategorized

Back from the concert at Slims.

Took photos.

Decided to play around with camera, use features I should know how to use but don’t. (fstops and whatnots)

The first song, Angel, my new favorite.. it’s just so darn purty. ;)

Here’s Nay Nay and The Fish (aka, Matt and Matt)

Just Matt Fish this time.

Matt, making fun of the stuffy fans. Tee hee.

Ah. Such an adorable smile. ;)

I can swoon. It’s allowed.

I didn’t stay for Howie Day. I feel bad about it, but Adam’s kinda sick and he was tired, so we decided to go.

Probably missed some meet & greet time or extra fun, but that’s ok. There’ll be another time.

Hmm.. someone just turned their Playstation 2 on.

and Lali is spazzin’ out. Gonna go see if she’s getting herself into trouble. Then sleepytime.

Woo Matty!

Yahoo! News – Bush team sees opportunity in California

“President Bush’s political advisers have begun working to turn California Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger’s victory into support for Bush in the 2004 election.”

Excuse me while I pretend to be in shock.
