While hanging out downtown… we were sitting at the table and some people started to play with the little candles. At one point, a portion of a receipt got thrown in and it burned… and burned… and damn that thing was burning for quite some time.
It burned too hot and bust the side of the glass candle holder. Oops. But! Because rightbeforethathappened, I had a thought that “hey candles are pretty, and i feel like taking a photo of the both of them”
So I took the photo at juuuust the right time. It’s hard to tell, but here’s the glass busting. Please excuse the crappy quality – I used my phone to take the photo.

I am highly considering a weekend trip, August 28th – 31st. Why then? I don’t really know… there’s an overwhelming urge to go to Vegas on those specific dates.. I just wish I knew what it was. Hmmmm.

Tonight we celebrated with Matt — he’s done with SJSU! WOOO! So off to the Cheeesycake Factory we went! After $200 worth of food (there were like 7 of us, so thats ok) we decided to cap off the night with a party.. where? Why Target of course!
Dude it’s got two levels. I mean, can you get much cooler than that?
Anywho. My goal was to purchase the Buffy Season 6 dvd set but when we got there, they were no more.
I gasped and mentally pouted.
Adam told me to ask the guy at the Camera & Video Games section to see if there were “more in the back.”
So I’m standing there, waiting for Dude That Works The Camera Desk to be done with another customer.. when.. what is it that I see? Could it be?? IS IT REALLY TRUE?!
On the counter lay one copy of the Buffy Season 6 dvd set.
I stood very still.
I kept watch for anyone else daring to find a copy of the dvd set.
Finally, Dude came over to me and asked if I needed help.
“Actually, what I want is right there. ::points:: Is that somebody else’s?”
“Nah. Here you go.” And Dude hands me the dvd set.
VICTORIOUS!
and now I watch Bargaining Pt 1.
oh yah, on the way to Target, we totally watched this guy pick his nose and eat his findings. Gross huh?

I cannot believe that it is only Saturday. We have crammed so much into the last two days, I seriously think that I’ve been on this trip for a good 4-5 days now.
When I get back home and don’t have to pay $2.00 for every 30 minutes of internet use — I will go into more detail about my trip (of course, with PHOTOS!)
But for now..
It’s been a ton of fun hanging with Amy and Maria. We’ve traveled across New Mexico and Arizona, ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the beautiful landscapes, sunsets etc. Vegas, although it was a super-quick stop, was fun as always. We walked up and down the strip, checking out the various casinos (and avoiding random drunk people meandering around.)
On the way to the Hoover Dam, we stopped at Lake Mead and played in the mud water.
And now we are in Flagstaff and today is the GRAND CANYON!
I have taken 200 photos. My first memory card is full (256mb) and I am now working on my new card which says it will hold approx 400 photos. Woo hoo!
Speaking of photos — if you haven’t noticed already — I have been posting photos to buzznet (look at the right side of this site.. see those photos?)
Alrighty, time to head out!

So it’s 8pm and I have finalized my itinerary.
Now to move on to making a few CDs for the road trip, possibly glue some stuff (crafty time?) and then of course.. packing.
Yeah, that last one is kind of important.
I have 2 hours to complete the above.
And call home.
And have dinner.
!!! WOO TRIP !!!
(Just to throw my 2 cents in — I dislike the changes at Blogger. It’s just so cartoonish. Everything is bubbly and large like those large-button phones for people who might not see very well — which I guess for that reason it’s a wonderful idea — but did Blogger really need to make things ‘easier’? It was pretty easy originally. But this new Blogger look? Bah. It looks like it took a step backward in design. Anywho. It’s still a good program. Someday I’ll get my bum in gear and use MT. I have so many more ideas that can be accomplished with MT and not Blogger……. ok so back to packing I go!)

I love reading who has come to my site. For the most part I can figure out who is who among my friends.. but I gotta say, the coolest visitor so far has gotta be whoever came to my site from the USGS website.
Why is this the coolest to me? Well, if you know me then you know how much I really love earthquakes. When I switched majors in college – I narrowed my choices down to Geology or Advertising.
Quite the difference between the two, and ultimately I chose Advertising because of the creative freedom.
Anyway.. thanks Mr or Miss USGS employee!

We spent the day celebrating Marc’s 25th Birthday. There was a Surprise! moment, delicious food (thanks to Marc’s mom), and balloon playing fun. I’ve got up a few of the photos from the party. Click the thumbnail photos for more.

So that ends my weekend… time to go back to work now.
10 Days to go!

There was a crazy sale at Macy’s this weekend.
One could easily tell… either by spotting the red signs (25% here! 65% there!) on various racks… or perhaps by the mass of people you had to walk through in order to get across the isle. What really stood out for me was the chaos known as the shoe department.
Oh. My. Gawd.

This photo doesn’t even come close to showing you how it really was.
Shoes were e v e r y w h e r e.
Adam and I walked up to the shoe area and we just stopped. I was amazed at the mess people had made. I said “oh my god…” to Adam and a Macy’s employee overheard me. He looked very worn out. He replied “yeah, tell me about it.” Poor guy. Poor employees who have to sort through the shoes, finding the mates, and restock the displays. It’s completely amazing to me that there are so many rude women are out there.
On our way out of Macy’s, a mother walked by with her son following her. He was throwing the funniest fit I’ve ever seen. Hopping up and down, throwing his arms around, scrreeeeaming. Ooooh the boy was maaad. The mom was like la-de-da shopping. But as we passed, it sounds like she got tired of his complaining and told him to knock it off.
In Starbucks, a mother with a 5 (?) year old in a stroller purchased some drinks. She was handed several cups and therefore could no longer push the stroller.
So she told the kid to get out and push the stroller herself. Made me giggle. I understand her reasoning (assuming) to bring the stroller. Mother shops for hours – kid gets tired of walking – kid travels in stroller. But when you gotta get out and push it yourself? Heee hee.
Ok i’m tired.
With that. I leave you with Thomas Jane as The Punisher. A movie that I saw tonight. Fun action flick.
::swoon::
