After a thrilling and exciting day at work, Maya, Adam, and I took a trip to good ole Valley Fair to purchase shoes, jeans, and just about anything else.
I didn’t find a damn thing in Macy’s Big-Girl Basement section – either they’re too expensive or too ugly. After Maya tried on some jeans, we checked out the shoes.
The shoes. I wave my fist in protest at you Shoe Designers! What is WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? Bright ass colors, pointy crap left and right (ok well some pointy shoes are ok), tennis shoes that are sandals, flip flops with grotesque growths on the toes… are 5 year olds designing shoes now? Hmm?
Due to a fit of The Sillies, I proceeded to try on the Ugliest Pair of Shoes Ever.

We had some din-din and I went over to find some jeans at Lane Bryant. With two pairs in hand, I was just about to pick up some shirts when someone came on the PA system within the mall. At the same time, a warning light started to flash and a loud alarm kept going off. Apparently there was a fire/prankster/bombing/alien landing going on.
A couple of people ran.
Most people walked.
I kept shopping.
The employees said it happens all the time. Ahhh.. memories of Royce Hall and VT fire alarms. A security person said it was a false alarm but the mall management said to evacuate (might as well, there was only 30 mins left to shop.)
So we said goodbye to the employees of Lane Bryant and went on our merry way.
My jeans will have to wait until tomorrow.

Well, at least I will be saving money…
Matt Nathanson will not be playing in Vegas afterall.
So, as planned, I will just be attending his Berkeley show at the end of August…. that is… unless I decide to go somewhere else.. HMMM.

Just something on my mind.. about how there are so many things to be excited about right now. Places I will be going, things I will be seeing, people to be with, and events that are happening.
I just don’t think I can contain myself much longer.
I shouldn’t be at my computer. I’ve been at a computer since 7am this morning. A co-worker and I voluntarily went into work at 7am today. We tried to cram in whatever we could into that little hour. Of course, plans were changed and the day quickly became hectic. I don’t want to speak too much about my work, but just an overall observation – we’re all very overworked right now. Lots of work is good. Lots of work = money. But when you have a lot of work, and a limited staff… well, it’s just not candy and cookies yah know?
I need to do something crafty for 30 mins.
Then I sleep. Oh glorious sleep!!

Alright so I’m supposed to be typing up notes from a 4-hour client meeting we had yesterday…
BUT instead, I’d like to share with you, a (small and somewhat grainy) photo of something silly I saw this morning.

Get close to your monitor, squint a bit… ah yes. There you go. Now you see it, right?
What you see is a man on “Penny farthing” bicycle in downtown San Jose. And that was what I saw this morning before starting another day of hell work.

For those curious (and the 3 people that still visit my site) I put up a few new photos over at the ole photoblog. They’re from the vacation I took a few weeks back.
I sat down a few hours ago fully intending to post a real post. But I can’t post until I’ve shared some photos.
I can’t share photos until I fix my photoblog.
So I fixed it.
Then I shared some photos.
