At least that’s what my alarm told me this morning.
I had a blast this weekend – it was fun hanging out in Los Gatos with everyone on Friday night, Shanta’s bridal shower was so much fun and then heading on over to Matt’s Hollywood Coke Party in the evening on Saturday.

This week is “get your ass in gear” week on finishing Shanta’s bridal shower book and another book I’m working on. Plus other festivities.. I’m so excited for this next weekend!!

It rained today!! Not enough to flood like those pictures may suggest – but it rained. It rained long enough to make the asphalt stinky.
The pictures are from 1998 – at least that’s what my computer says. They’re scans of Polaroid pictures I took when El Nino flooded the valley which meant flooding in our little community. In order to take these pictures I had to walk through our neighbor’s yards. Everyone drove slowly and kids urged parents to blow up rafts.

Ok well, close to it at least.
Amazon.com, as part of their 10-year anniversary, are having special Celebrity Deliveries.
One day you’re online ordering the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD for your grandson. A few days later, Harrison Ford strolls up to your house and delivers it.
Harrison Ford.
At your door.
It’s a good thing I didn’t know about this beforehand, we really don’t have enough room for all the copies of the Pirates of the Caribbean I’d be ordering to secure that delivery from Orlando Bloom or Johnny Depp.

Quick post while I melt away in our sauna office. I spent the day with Amy prepping for Shanta’s bridal shower next weekend. What were we doing? Oh just seeking out the most perfect male exotic dancers… man one of ‘em had chiseled muscles…
OK so we didn’t do that.
Plus, who has exotic dancers at a bridal shower? But what we were really doing today cannot be said because Shanta reads my blog and therefore I’d ruin the surprise if I were to yap about it here. HI SHANTA!
Hmm.. muscles…..
ANYWAY. I had to sift through our trash today, that was fun. But it was in search of a credit card – and credit cards are wonderful items and so it was worth it. (Although, it wasn’t my card – but I’m there for my friends, yo! I will sift through trash for you!)
So how about the weather?! IT’S HOT. I remember the days back in Mootown when it’d reach well past 100 degrees and we’d be like “Hmm, yeah it’s kind of hot.” But for the past 5-6 years I’ve slowly been spoiled by the bay area and it’s breezy and lovely weather. So now, it reaches somewhere like 85 and I’m whining.
Well, that’s that. Tomorrow I’m attending a Mariachi-style mass and a few Mariachi acts at the 14th Annual San Jose International Mariachi Festival. If you’re in downtown San Jose and have a hankerin’ for music, dancing, and yummy food – check out the festival.

I totally forgot that $2 bills exist. Why aren’t they used more often? Oh yeah, cause they’re SILLY. Silly American money.

Fred’s House is right. Guess-the-Google will eat your soul.
Isn’t it great?!

When something happens in the world, be it devastating like the London bombings or ridiculous like Snapple’s melted popsicle in New York, I turn to Flickr.
Obviously, I hear or read about the event via CNN, local news, or Yahoo! news. But if I want to see for myself what is going on or how things looked, I jump over to Flickr and search the tags. You are almost guaranteed to find a photo on there – provided the user has tagged it with the appropriate descriptions.
Recently several articles pointing out how the average Joe has become an instant photojournalist have popped up. We’re able to upload photos to our blogs, Flickr, and other photo sites instantly from our cameraphones.
I must say, I love this. Sure, cameraphones are still used for evil (up skirts and other disgusting uses) but for the most part, people are quick to whip out their cameras for events that other people might be interested in seeing.

Every now and then, when I’m feeling especially stressed and on the verge of screaming until my eyeballs pop out, I pick up my phone and listen to an old voicemail I saved.
It’s from March 24, 2004 when my aunt Mary Jo had Tiffany, Whitney, and Abbie sing happy birthday to me.
“Happy birthdaaaay to youuuu – cha cha cha”
Makes my eyes well up every time. But it makes me smile, and amazingly enough, it makes all the stress instantly disappear.

Coors Light is ripping off a line from Seinfeld.
Coors Light Commercial:
“They’re plastic, and they’re spectacular.”
The bottles, but a boobied-out blonde in a bikini is delivering the line.
Seinfeld:
“They’re real, and they’re spectacular.”
As said by guest star, Teri Hatcher, about her boobs which were being questioned if they were purchased or not.
Now, are they doing it as a form of flattery? Are they doing it because someone was lazy and thought they’d get away with it? Whatever. It’s beer. It’s boobs. Something tells me the product will still sell.
** Update: 8.12.05 **
I have been getting an amazing amount of hits to my site from people searching for “coors seinfeld spectacular” and other combinations of keywords regarding this topic. What exactly are ya’ll looking for? Seeing if someone else has picked up on the reference? Or are you looking for a screen capture of the boobied blonde in the commercial? Just curious, as everyone else seems to be. But thanks for stopping by!
