Threadless is not a new site, but it’s one of my current obsessions. I can’t stop buying t-shirts! Here’s the deal with Threadless. Users submit their designs, other users vote on the designs. Would you buy it? Do you think it still needs work? If shirts receives enough positive votes, voila! The shirts are chosen to be printed. Certain sizes go fast, so you have to be just as quick at purchasing them.
They’ve got an awesome “street team” deal too. If you buy a t-shirt, take a picture of yourself in it and send it in – you’ll earn points. Also if someone buys shirts through your link, you earn points as well. It’s pretty damn spiffy.
So why am I rambling about this? Well, Iris emailed me today and asked me for my link and I happily responded with it and thought, hell I should post it to my site*. So here it is for the rest of you. Go crazy!
Also, there is a “secret” sale going on – you’ve gotta buy 3 shirts but they’ll be $10 each. Go on, it’s only $30 for limited designs.
The ones I’ve purchased so far (and love to itty bitty pieces):
I Heart Color
Regrowth: Katrina
We Are Made of Carbon
Pillow Fight
Dark Side of the Garden
The Internet
Let’s Go Buy Some Soda Pop
Like Father, Like Son
*It’s one of the million little things I mean to add to my damned new design — if I’d FINISH IT ALREADY. Augh.

I had an entire post about snow in the bay area, but it vanished from my blogger doodad. No idea why. Whatever. It snowed in the higher elevations as you can see from the photo above.

I met up with Iris and we shimmied over to the Flickr Turns 2 party in SF last night. It was a nice event, but no matter how determined I was during the week, I ended up reverting back to my shy self and neglected to mingle much. Boo on me. Whatev. It was still a nice party and they gave away some goodies – and that’s always good. Now I finally have buttons!
There was an awesome cake, cupcakes, wine, stinky cheeses, and enough Cheetos to feed Britney Spears for at least a week. (You can see them on the table in the above picture.)
They also had a live feed of photos that were being uploaded to Flickr – which was really hard to look away from. It’s quite mesmerizing.

I, along with several family members and friends, received an email from my Uncle Mike (family prankster) on Sunday night with the opening sentence:
“Just a quick note to thank Jennifer and Kimberly for their great work at selling my antiques this weekend!!!”
Huh? I seem to remember, quite clearly, that I was not in Santa Monica selling antiques, but at my house in Modesto celebrating my mother’s birthday this weekend.
So I read on.
“Attached are photos of them hard at work “pricing” my antiques. My sales skyrocketed!! Its weird it seems like a lot of old men in trench coats are into antiques!!!”
As I scrolled down, there were several far away pictures of his antique booth. It wasn’t until I got to a close up one did I realize what the hell he was talking about.
The price tag, dangling from a bird cage (with a stuffed monkey in it) was a photo of my cousin and I, probably 3 and 4 years old (?), belly-down in a bathtub looking up at the camera and smiling like fools. It looks as though we’d spent the day swimming at our grandparent’s house and had gotten ourselves a tan — except for our bums!
Thanks Uncle Mike, Kim and I are thrilled to have our asses out in public for all those creepy people out there.
Although it was pretty damn hilarious, this you know, means war.
