Penny and I were having a little photo session on the windowsill when she yawned a fantastic yawn. Perhaps it was her way of saying “Bored now.“

*The photo of her yawning mesmerized me so much I decided to check out Flickr for more cat yawns – call me crazy, I don’t care. There I found my fascination had company as there exists a Cat Yawns group. The photos are eerie and kind of creepy, but ultimately a make up cool collection.

In an ad campaign launched today to celebrate Disney Parks “Year of a Million Dreams” Disney teamed with photographer Annie Leibovitz (my fave!) to create gorgeous photos that capture the magic and fantasy from Disney classics. The Cinderella one is my favorite so far. It’d be nice if at the end of the campaign they offer a glossy book of all the photos – I’d totally buy it.

Back home in Modesto this weekend and TAKING PHOTOS! It’s been awhile since I got out and took some decent photos and frankly it was starting to wear on me. So thanks to an article in the Modesto Bee – we now know of a previously “secret” little spot in Modesto that was called home to a bazillion geese.

The San Joaquin River National Wildlife Refuge is, like I said, no longer a secret. When we arrived this morning there was a sprinkling of about 10 people with cameras or binos or just sitting in their cars enjoying the scenery. Several cars came and went. We took some photos and left for the day’s errands. Returning around 4pm for sunset photos, more people were there! It was nice seeing all the photographers – no doubt 90-100% of the visitors were like us, there because of the article.

It was a lot of fun and in the end I walked away with 227 photos to go through. Yowsa.

Conan O’Brian and Co. created a funny commercial for the iPhone.
If you have no idea what the iPhone is… well, let’s just say it’s pretty damn awesome you can get internet service from that rock you’re living under.

While others might think a camera and too much free time is just as bad.

The surface being used is a 1940’s (or 50s or 60s.. website info varies) ice bucket that was given to me by my Uncle Mike. Isn’t it awesome? It has penguins on it!

That’s been my 2007 thus far.

I wanted to get out this weekend and take photos with my new lens or my new camera (which I’ll share once I take photos with it.) But NO. Too tired and snotty. I feel better, but spending a few hours doing something totally wipes me out. Bleh.

And just so you can’t say I didn’t post anything interesting…
