Well, I haven’t blogged anything of substance in quite some time (heh, when do I ever , really?) I’ve been pretty busy between personal obligations and work responsibilities. Matter of fact, the moment I’m done posting, I’m moving on to some stuff (pics) that need to be finished so the newlyweds can (finally) enjoy them!
So here are some pictures from last weekend.
Last weekend we held a very successful Game Night at the apartment. We pulled out the other TV for some duel-video game action. :: Wii Boxing, Bowling, Baseball, and Tennis were very popular (specifically Bowling.) :: I saw a few people playing Mario Party 8. :: Stephen, Jenn, Matt, Sarah and Nico rocked Karaoke Revolution. :: Of course there was plenty of Guitar Hero 1 and 2. :: Board games like Mad Gab and Jenga provided extra fun at the dinner table.
I can see the benefits of something like this, however I’d wonder if you spent too long looking at the table that your neck would start to get sore. Regardless, it looks cool. The parody is great too.
(Old photo, but it gives you a nice idea of the state of my life the last week.)
Quick post before I pass out from exhaustion. I know, you’re dying to know about my mundane life.
June 9th – Photographed Iris’ sister’s wedding. It was a GORGEOUS day in SF, on the beach just around the corner from the big GG bridge itself. Purty stuff. After the bride and groom get their pics, and I confirm it’s ok, I’ll post a few in my Flickr People set – some of the ones I’m really proud of.
June 10th – If I wasn’t sleeping I was editing photos. Removing doggie poopies from the the sand or fishermen or other things. Necessary, normal edits. Realized that between me and my awesome 2nd photographer, there are 1000+ photos to go through!!!!
Week – work..photo edit..help my friend Jenn buy a mattress.. more photo editing.. more working.. less sleeping.
Friday – flew to LA!!
Saturday – accompanied Iris on the drive back to the Bay Area, edited more photos, attempted sleep.
Sunday – Father’s Day! Went to Motown and then to the Black Oaks Casino in Sonora with mom, dad, and Adam. Mom and I played the slots while the boys played the tables.
!!! WON $1025 off of $4 !!!
And now, I am so terribly exhausted and all I can think about is how I have a bunch of photos to still go through, a CD to make and send back east by the 20th, and how much sleep I won’t be getting until next weekend.
Awhile back there was this surge of Flickr users tilt-shifting images. Basically tilt-shifted photos take a very real scene and make it look like a model. I wanted to play along, and I tried, however I didn’t have the right version of Photoshop. Well now I do! So here is a photo of Paris that I took from the Eiffel Tower – all tilt shiftylike.
So after posting that to Flickr, I went about reading the blogs I subscribe to. Lo and behold, I come across a post on Neatorama about a New York Times photo series by photographer Vincent Laforet. He took a bunch of sports photos and applied the tilt-shift effect. Go and check ‘em out. My faves are the tennis shots.
